Getting Curious at CÚRAM

Curo was thrilled to run a short workshop with teachers on the CÚRAM teachers in residents programme. Despite having taught all day, these educators took part in an experiential workshop with Lucy, Annie and Orla to think about philosophy in the science classroom. They way they thoughtfully engaged and considered what this kind of learning could do for their pupils was inspiring!

First and second level teachers had their first experience as a Community of Philosophical Inquiry, attempting to reach a reasonable philosophical judgement on the questions: ‘Should humans allow AI to change their identity?’ and extended their thinking by considering necessary and sufficient criteria for personhood, discussing how this activity could be adapted for first or second level learners.
